12 Aug Best Places To Drink In Downtown Lakeland Florida
When you just finished a grueling week at work and you have the weekend to yourself, what should be your first Friday night outing? Others may prefer a quiet night at home but there are also those who are looking to spend an enjoyable dinner and drinks with their friends or even their family.
Downtown Lakeland bars are the perfect cap to a stressful week. They aren’t as rowdy as other bars and they serve some of the best bar chows, draft beers, spirits and cocktails this side of the country.
Here are our favorites, so far:
Molly McHugh’s Irish Pub
This is a low-key Irish pub with dark wood interiors, warm environs and live music nights. It offers an array of beers and whiskeys, with some never served in other Downtown Lakeland bars. Stepping inside Molly McHugh’s is like being transported to Ireland, thanks to its low lighting and homey feel.
On tap are classics such as Guinness, Harp, Bass, Magners Irish Cider, Stella Artois, among others. Also being offered in cans and bottles are Bud, Bud Lite, Coors Lite, Heinekin, Carlsberg, Boddingtons, Michelob Light and Ultra, Corona, etc. Of course, the pub has a full liquor bar with a great selection of Irish whiskey.
Red Door Lakeland
The cute little red door should be reason enough for you to check this place out. The Red Door Wine Market strives to serve the Lakeland community with craft food and a unique beverage experience.
Famous also for its “Best Cheese Platter in Town,” you’ll be surprised with what servers will put on your plate. As for the wine list? Red Door Lakeland is the closest thing to a California wine country tasting room you can find in Florida. It has a nice selection of wines that is perfect for date nights and a quiet dinner with friends or family.
Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille
Craving for New Orleans fare? A plate of jambalaya can be paired with either a cocktail or a bottle of beer. Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille does not only serve southern favorites, but it also has an extensive list of wines, craft beers and specialty drinks.
Wine list includes sparkling wines, alternative wines, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon and alternative reds. For craft beers, the bar has Sam Adams Seasonal, Abita Turbo Dog, Magic hat #9, Fat Tire Amber Ale, among others.
There are several Downtown Lakeland bars you can hop on and off all night. Just choose the best that suit your mood–either you want a bar with live band or just a quiet dinner with low and slow music.
